Improving Your Sourdough – 5 October
Take your sourdough baking to the next level with our Improving Your Sourdough course. Led by an experienced miller and baker, you’ll learn the skills needed to bake delicious, crusty loaves at home. You’ll also get the chance to tour our historic working watermill and learn more about where your flour comes from.

Apple Pressing – 26 October to 3 November
Join us for a hands-on Apple Pressing experience this Apple Week. Learn how to chop, mash, and press locally grown apples to make fresh, delicious apple juice using our traditional hand-cranked press. Enjoy the season’s harvest and take a bottle home!

Apple Cake Baking – 29 to 31 October
Celebrate autumn with our Apple Cake Baking workshops. Using our traditional wood-fired oven, you’ll learn how to bake delicious autumnal cakes with a variety of locally-grown apples, learning about the pros and cons of different varieties along the way.

Learn traditional techniques from Alder Carr Farm‘s Master Butcher in our Butchery Masterclass. You’ll learn the skills and gain the knowledge to truss your own joints and make delicious sausages at home. A must-attend for cooks who want to deepen their culinary knowledge.

Traditional Mince Pie Workshop – 28 November
Get into the festive spirit at our Traditional Mince Pie Workshop. Learn how to make boozy mince pies from scratch using Suffolk heritage apples and local apple liqueur. You’ll be guided through the steps for crafting beautifully crisp-on-the-outside, gooey-in-the-middle treats.
