Free adult entry for National Lottery Open Week

Enjoy free adult entry to the UK’s only Food Museum on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 March with a National Lottery ticket or scratchcard!

We’re excited to be taking part in the National Lottery’s Open Week on 9 and 10 March to say thank you for the money raised for Good Causes every week by National Lottery players.

We’ve got 84 acres of glorious countryside, 17 fascinating buildings, a farm of rare breed animals and over 40,000 objects in our collection for you to explore in the heart of beautiful Suffolk – from wartime ration recipes to a full size steam-powered mill engine.

At the Food Museum, we have activities on every day exploring growing, making and eating food! On 9 and 10 March, you’ll be able to meet our rare breed animals, experience our annual exhibition, try delicious tasters and try your hand at farming, as well as discovering our historic windpump, touring our 18th-century dairy and much more.

From cheese-making to brewing, historic breads to seasonal eating, we are here to engage audiences with the heritage of food and the communities who grow and make it. We explore themes connected by food – social, historical, technological, industrial, environmental – and to give visitors hands-on experiences which bring processes alive, teach skills and share memories.

Adults get in for free when presenting a National Lottery ticket or scratchcard in the shop (any date is fine), with child entry from £0-£10. Free entry does not entitle visitors to an annual pass. Find out more about admission.
