A fond farewell to Zippo

Our much-loved horse, Zippo, will be departing the museum to become a companion for another Suffolk Punch horse. Zippo arrived at the museum in 2019 and will be leaving on 16 July.

With the recent arrival of a female foal, Juno, who was born to our Suffolk Punch mare, Faith, at the museum, we’ve had to take the difficult decision to find Zippo a home where he could live alongside another Suffolk, allowing Faith time and space to bond with Juno.

The museum is committed to supporting the Suffolk Punch rare breed, and visitors can meet both Faith and Juno in our paddock. Juno was the first Suffolk Punch horse born on our site for 100 years and was one of only 12 fillies of the breed born so far this year.
