Annual passes are subject to museum opening times and are not valid on event days. Annual passes do not qualify for the host of benefits that membership provides, including discounts in the museum shop, gate access to the site and priority booking.

Absolutely! if you’ve bought your annual pass within the past month, you can upgrade it by emailing contact@foodmuseum.org.uk, or by visiting the shop.

  • If neither of these work, double check which email address you used to register your account and make sure you’re looking at the correct one.

Is my membership payment eligible for Gift Aid?

Yes, the benefits we offer are below the thresholds required by HMRC. By Gift Aiding your payment we can reclaim 25p for every £1 you donate from the tax you pay for the current tax year, making your donation worth 25% more. Please remember by declaring you can Gift Aid your donation to the Food Museum, you are confirming that you are a UK taxpayer and understand that if you pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all your donations in that tax year it is your responsibility to pay any difference.

Please notify the museum if you:

  • want to cancel this declaration
  • change your name or home address
  • no longer pay sufficient tax on your income and/or capital gains

If you pay Income Tax at the higher or additional rate and want to receive the additional tax relief due to you, you must include all your Gift Aid donations on your Self-Assessment tax return or ask HM Revenue and Customs to adjust your tax code.

Who does the concession charge apply to?

The concession admission charge applies to senior citizens, students, people who are unemployed and people in receipt of a disability benefit. You may be asked to provide evidence of your status. People with disabilities and in receipt of benefits are entitled to bring one carer in for free.

Do you offer a concession rate on memberships?

As a charity, we rely on the support of our members to fund our work. We believe our membership scheme offers great value for money so we are unable to provide any further reductions.
