Careers at the Food Museum
From time to time we have vacancies for a number of roles at the Food Museum, including visitor services, estate management, collections management and learning.
Community Curators (2 roles)
The Food Museum is partnering with the Migration Museum to recruit two local Community Curators to deliver a project exploring migration and food.
The Community Curators Programme is designed to bring diverse voices, lived experiences, and regional perspectives into the creation of the Migration Museum’s future exhibitions.
Community Curators will undertake a training programme, starting on 22nd September 2026 and produce a display in The Food Museum on the theme of migration and food in 2027. This exhibition content will then inform the Migration Museum’s displays in London.
Community Curators must be available every Tuesday, 11am-1pm for an online session with the Migration Museum team.
Community Curators will be engaged on a freelance basis (4 hours per week, at £20 per hour), until at least the end of April 2027.
Previous curatorial and/or museum experience is not required.
