Looking for fun, educational activities for under-5’s? Join us for Toddler Time at the Food Museum! You’ll get to take part in exciting, creative and stimulating sessions in the beautiful grounds of the museum, including caring for our special Toddler Time patch in our walled garden.
Sessions are at 10am-11am and 1pm-2pm every Wednesday. Booking essential.

Toddler Time Sessions
Toddler Time Toddler Tunes
First Wednesday of the month, 10am and 1pm
Join us as we make music in Toddler Tunes! With musical instruments and rhymes.
Toddler Time Welly Walk
Second Wednesday of the month, 10am
We’re heading off on a walk around the museum, meet the animals and see what we can spy outside!
Please arrive dressed for the weather, we will be outside for the duration of the session
Tiddlywinks Yoga
Third Wednesday of the month, 10am
Tiddlywinks Yoga uses songs and rhymes with plenty of movement and stretching promoting balance, flexibility and independent movement led by yoga teacher Emma Philip. Emma holds a Birthlight Baby Yoga Diploma, a SMART Certificate and also a BA(QTS) teaching qualification.
Emma brings together her skills as a teacher, her training in Baby Yoga and SMART Yoga and her understanding of the needs of parents and babies from being a mum of three young children herself, to offer classes that are fun and varied.
Please bring your own mat or picnic blanket to use.
Outdoor Fun
Third Wednesday of the month, 1pm
In our afternoon session on the third Wednesday of the month, we’ll be out and about around the museum, exploring the beautiful nature, animals and plants it has to offer.
Please arrive dressed for the weather, we will be outside for the duration of the session.
Storytime and Crafts
Fourth Wednesday of the month, 10am and 1pm
Explore the museum, listen to stories and have crafty fun outside!
Toddler Fun Session
Fifth Wednesday of the month (when applicable), 10am and 1pm
When there are 5 Wednesdays in the month we add in a bonus Toddler Time session – Toddler Outdoor Fun! or Toddler Outdoor Forest Fun
Join our fabulous learning assistant Victoria for a free play session, children will be encouraged to use their imagination and lead the way with play and most importantly we’ll be having lots of fun!
These sessions are free for Members, you must present a valid membership card alongside your booking upon arrival.
Due to the popularity of sessions, we request that you please don’t bulk book more than a month in advance to allow others a chance to book. If you can no longer make a session, please let us know by calling 01449 612229 or emailing contact@foodmuseum.org.uk.
Many of our sessions end in a walk around the grounds or gardens, so please ensure to dress for the outdoors.
