An exclusive, hands-on butchery workshop in Suffolk with renowned Master Butcher, Nigel Goodchild of Alder Carr Farm. This day-long workshop on Sunday 17 November will teach you how to expertly butcher, prepare, and tie traditional cuts and joints from a pig.

Learn the skills to truss your own joints and make delicious sausages, ready for festive feasts or to stock the freezer over winter. Nigel will guide you through traditional butchery practices, ensuring everyone leaves with practical knowledge and a selection of your own butchered meats.

In addition to the hands-on butchery experience and joints to take home, enjoy a delicious lunch at our own Feast Café. Feast uses ingredients grown in the museum’s walled garden wherever possible, along with local produce. The menu changes seasonally, reflecting the best of what’s fresh and local.
