About this objectThis is oblong, consisting of a galvanised iron mesh on a wooden frame. On the long sides the corners of the mesh are rounded; on the short sides the wooden frame occupies the depth of the sieve. The mesh consists of closely spaced parallel wires supported externally by 12 thicker transverse wires. There are shaped slots in the short sides of the frame for grip.
