About this objectThis cart was used by Rev. Christopher Blencowe, who farmed Meade Farm (Drinkstone) 1925-1963 and possibly also by George Blencowe, who farmed at Boxford (d.1917).
The name Oliver Bros. of Sudbury on the hub caps suggests a link to the Oliver Brothers Brewery of Sudbury, whilst the front board bears, in yellow, the words:" .........ALE STORES............MALDON"
It is made of wood with iron and brass fittings and uses elliptical springs.
A box beneath the front board contains 3 box spanners, one key spanner and various iron fittings. (refer to A.7189.2-5)
