About this objectMade of cane and measuring: 1' 7" x 1' 5" x 1' 6". A lid which forms the top of the basket is secured by means of thick string (formerly by a leather strap). A railway label is secured to the handle on the lid. The basket was used by the donor's father for keeping a tame dove, but later for carrying pigeons and chickens from house to house.
