About this objectAccording to the donor, thhis horseshoe was dug up at Goldbrook House, Hoxne, when excavating for a duck pond in the meadow. Identified as 13th - 14th century.
There are three holes on each side of the shoe, in one of which the head of a nail remains. The open ends are turned down for 1/2"
