About this objectThis negative depicts Fordson major with mounted plough. Made of glass, these were used by Ransome, Sims and Jeffries of Ipswich. This is 1 of 868, refs. A.5858 - A.6726. These were sold by Ransome's (c. 1968) to the donor and his brother, who were employed there, for 1/-, as panes in a greenhouse. It is probable that others were sold at the same time for the same purpose. They show implements made by Ransome's.
