About this objectThis is a stick made from wood with iron fittings. It was attached behind the horse, under its tail, when using the trace harness. One chain is attached to one end of the stick, the other is missing. Being particularly strong these chains were often removed from the sticks when they fell into disuse and were used elsewhere on the farm.
