About this objectThis was used at Heath School, Kesgrave, Ipswich. It is a view of a man with a beard, wearing a tunic, cape, headscarf and sandals, carrying a bag and sowing seeds as he walks. He is followed by birds with shrub land and mountains behind. There is a handwritten inscription in the bottom right corner and a printed inscription at the bottom centre. It is thought to depict the Parable of the Sower of Seed from the New Testament in which Matthew explains the Kingdom of God through a series of parables (Matthew 13: 1–9, 18–23).
