About this objectThe rosette has a cardboard centre and is edged with satin ribbon. The backing is of cotton. The rosette is pink and white. It was made by Wm. Greenwood and Son Ltd. of Halifax, Yorkshire. The outer ring of the centre has the words: 'ESSEX AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY', inscribed around it. The centre of the ring bears the inscription: 'MALDON. RESERVE SPECIAL. 1937'.
