About this objectA black painted trough with two bars across the top, rounded sides and ends. There are 4 'L' shaped stands on the bottom and moulded lettering inside the trough. In the period of agricultural depression during the last decades of the 19th century, Ransomes expanded into many different markets, especially lawnmowers and general foundry work. Used at Gipping Farm, Stowupland, Suffolk.
