About this objectThis is a partly made cotton nightgown with trimmings and lace etc. It is part of the collection of clothes belonging to Misses D. and M. Burling, of Swaffham Bulbeck, Cambridgeshire, who were aunts of the donor. The clothes were made by the Hancock family at The Laurels, Swaffham Bulbeck, in 1850/1900, who were members of a farming family. This is one of five pieces of a baby's nightgown.
