About this objectThis is part of the collection of clothes belonging to two aunts of the donor, Mrs Chapman. This is one of six dresses, suitable for a 3/4 year old child, and all are of a similar design, with drawstring necklines, full skirts, and back openings tied with tapes and fastened with hooks and hand-sewn eyes. All the dresses are completely hand sewn. This example is white with mauve daisies in an overall pattern. The bodice is lined and there is braid edging to the sleeves.
