About this objectThis is part of the collection of clothes belonging to two aunts of the donor, Mrs Chapman. This is one of six dresses, suitable for a 3/4 year old child, and all are of a similar design, with drawstring necklines, full skirts, and back openings tied with tapes and fastened with hooks and hand-sewn eyes. All the dresses are completely hand sewn. This example is of fancy white cotton with a decorative black/white braid round the sleeves and down the centre front.
