About this objectThis is part of the collection of clothes belonging to the aunts of the donor, Mrs Chapman. This is one of six dresses, suitable for a 3/4 year old child, and all are of a similar design, with drawstring necklines, full skirts, and back openings tied with tapes and fastened with hooks and hand-sewn eyes. All the dresses are completely hand sewn. This example is of heavy cotton with a pink/white stripe, with four, small box pleats back and front, and a double frill on the short sleeves.
