About this objectThis is part of the collection of clothes belonging to the aunts of the donor, Mrs Chapman. This is one of six dresses, suitable for a 3/4 year old child, and all are of a similar design, with drawstring necklines, full skirts, and back openings tied with tapes and fastened with hooks and hand-sewn eyes. All the dresses are completely hand sewn. This example is of a white light cotton, with a tiny check weave. It has a pleat above the hem.
