About this objectThis is part of the collection of clothes belonging to Misses D. and M. Burling, of Swaffham Bulbeck, Cambridgeshire, who were aunts of the donor, Mrs. Chapman. The clothes were by the Hancock family at The Laurels Swaffham Bulbeck in 1850/ 1900, who were members of a farming family. This is a mauve, lawn type blouse, with a design resembling peacock feathers in darker shades. The blouse has a detachable lining of patched cotton. Three poppers close the front of the blouse which has a deep cuff.
