About this objectThe blouse is patterned with red, blue, yellow and pink roses on a background of grey. Five hooks and sewn loops close the front opening. There are two small buttons on each cuff. The blouse has a shoulder yoke and full sleeves with a cuff.
This is part of the collection of clothes belonging to Misses D. and M. Burling, of Swaffham Bulbeck, Cambridgeshire, who were aunts of the donor. The clothes were by the Hancock family in 1850/ 1900, who were members of a farming family.
Medium and MaterialsThis is of an artificial fibre, possibly rayon, the blouse being of a very light weight. Mother-of-pearl buttons.
