About this objectThis item is a blue striped blouse, hand sewn, with four buttons down the front fastening. There is also a tape at the back enclosed in a gusset, which encircles the waist and ties at the front, presumably below the level of the skirt. The full sleeves terminate in deep cuffs. A centre back box pleat extends from neck to waist.
This is part of the collection of clothes belonging to Misses D. and M. Burling, of Swaffham Bulbeck, Cambridgeshire, who were aunts of the donor.The clothes were by the Hancock family in 1850/ 1900, who were members of a farming family.
