About this objectThis is a lady's black blouse with a high neck and a pointed collar. It is fastened down the front with hooks and eyes, and decorated with black, possibly glass, buttons; three down the front, and two smaller ones on each sleeve. The sleeves are long and comfortably full. A centre pleat runs from centre neck to centre waist at the back of the blouse and a panel holds a waist tape designed to tie at the front.
This is part of the collection of clothes belonging to Misses D. and M. Burling, of Swaffham Bulbeck, Cambridgeshire, who were aunts of the donor. The clothes were by the Hancock family in 1850/ 1900, who were members of a farming family.
