About this objectThere are two identical box sets, used by the Suffolk Milk Recording Society (10 Tavern Street, Ipswich) and are dated 25.01.1933. They had been sent through the post.
Each box has a separate lid and contains two bottles held in place with a wooden slat separator and padded with paper underneath. In the lid is placed a recording sheet with details, including: owner of cow; address; date of sampling; times of milking and amount of milk 'THOROUGHLY WELL MIXED WITH THE PLUNGER.'
The first box contains items 1-6 and the second, items 7-12. Refer to 82.A.48.3.1 - 12 for details.
This item is the box lid, which has the address of the Milk Recording Society on it and postage stamps.
