About this objectThe exact use for this is not known. It was possibly used for breaking cattle cake. It was found in the building called the Swillhouse. Made with a wooden frame, it contains a series of iron teeth interlocking as the central drum and rotates through a hand-turned handle at the side. A swinging handle also engages a line of iron, prong-type teeth. The device is not complete. It is painted blue.
