About this objectPair of clogs probably used by workmen in fields. They have leather uppers with thick wooden soles and heels, and iron heel and sole plates. Each upper has a leather lug at the instep with two straps that fasten with buckles. The leather uppers are lined with hessian and are reinforced with strips of leather at the instep and back. Each boot has a small metal toe cap and a strip of metal studs at 1cm. intervals around the upper where it joins the wooden sole and heel.
