About this objectA pair of iron secateurs used by the donor's father or grandfather for cutting plants in the garden or for cutting wire etc. on the farm. The secateurs have a scissor-like action. One of the handles curves back on itself and fixes into a socket which also has a catch attachment; the exact reason for this is unclear, possibly to keep the secateurs closed when not in use.
