About this objectThis quart measure is one of a set of 5 measures Used from the early 1900's to 1935 at the Glemsford Post Office, where they were in general use, for seeds, poultry and corn etc. The measures within the set are graded 1/2 Pint, Pint, Quart, 1/4 Peck, Peck and all fit inside each other. The post office was also a general store, selling most articles, including fresh pork, some sausages, gunpowder, plus some garden and farming requirements . The measures have not been used since 1935.
