About this objectThis 1/2 pint measure is one of a set of 5 measures. Used from the early 1900's to 1935 at the Glemsford Post Office , where they were in general use, for seeds, poultry and corn etc. The measures within the set are graded 1/2 Pint, Pint, Quart, 1/4 Peck, Peck and all fit inside each other. The post office was also a general store, selling most articles, including fresh pork, some sausages, gunpowder, plus some garden and farming requirements . The measures have not been used since 1935.

Inscription and MarksStamped 192 V.R. on the outside and also stamped with the amount it measures: 1/2 pint.
