About this objectPea harvester, used by the donor between c.1950-1965. The machine was fitted onto the back of a tractor which was driven in reverse into the crop. The knives cut the peas, which were pushed back by rotating rakes onto a canvas (missing) that carried the hauls to the side. The knives cut about 6 inches wide. Painted green and cream.
The donor used to grow c.20 acres of peas, and also did a little contract work with this machine.
