About this objectThis thistle hook is one of a small collection of tools which the donor had from his father's farm, Hungriff Hall Hawkedon, near Bury. His father died in 1954, aged 70 and the farm had been in the family for generations. The tools would have been used by farmworkers. It is made up of a pointed blade attached to a socket for a handle by two rivets. The hook has no handle.
