About this objectThis was used by the donor's grandfather, Sam Wyartt, (died c. 1925, c.84), at Burstall Hill, near Hintlesham, Suffolk. Mr. Wyartt Snr. was self employed as a pig killer, poultry dealer, warriner, poacher, etc. The ringer was used for closing a ring inserted through a pig's snout to prevent rooting.
