Name/TitleHarness Rack
About this objectThis harness rack is made of iron. A harness would be hung over one of the four hooks at the base, while being cleaned. The local name is "Harness horse" according to the donor, and may have been used at Shrubland's Hall in the harness room. Mr. Morgan, the blacksmith, did a lot of work for them and may have kept it as a memento. He had it, at the time of acquisition, hanging from a three foot long chain from a beam above the large forge in his Claydon smithy. He used it for hanging finished work on, for people to collect.
