Name/TitleSeed fiddle
About this objectThis seed fiddle was used for sowing clover seed into corn, and for sowing grass seed. The grass seed was fiddled rather than drilled because the farmer did not like seeing the tracks of the drill wheels when the grass grew. It's local name was ' seed riddle'. One worker worked in a single field, and the rate of sowing was about 7 acres a day.
