About this objectThis bit was used, possibly for horse-breaking, by the donor's father, at Scarlett's Farm, which he purchased in 1929. Two large rings hang freely from the mouthpiece and there are two slots in the upper section of the sidepieces. The bottom of the sidepieces are twisted into spirals, to which a chain is attached and which passes through the rings hanging from the mouthpiece.
