About this objectThis iron pendant horse bit has three rings situated on the mouthpiece both sides of the pendant, each one rotating freely. Both ends of the pendant itself are free to swivel from the mouthpiece. Side pieces also pivot on the crosspiece.
The pendant caused a flow of saliva, stated to lessen friction, and this type was frequently used when breaking in a horse.
