Used at Gipping Farm to attach 3 Whipple-trees to the pommel tree when yoking 3 horses.

Inscribed with the letters W C, being the initials of William Carter, whose farm at Finningham (Green farm) was bought by the donor's father Thomas Carter in 1921 along with some of the implements. This specimen almost certainly was purchased or taken at this time.
