About this objectThese were used by the senior partner in the veterinary practice, and by his predecessors, in the late 19th/early 20th century. The set consists of a spreading forceps, seizing forceps, and knife,all stamped 'ARNOLD & SONS, LONDON' and contained in a case covered in black leather, lined in the base with blue velvet and the lid with blue silk. On the inside of the lid are the royal arms and 'BY APPOINTMENT ARNOLD & SONS WEST LONDON SMITHFIELD'
