About this objectMade of iron, painted black, with a brass filler cap and cotton wick. The cylindrical handle forms a reservoir for the paraffin, and is filled through an aperture in the base of the blade. The blade is flattened out with a slot for a wick holder, which is a flat hinged clip. The blade is toothed on one side of the slot and smooth on the other.
