About this objectThis was used by Mr. Mitton's father, H.Mitton, who was a veterinary surgeon during the First World War and later at Long Melford. Made of steel with a beechwood handle and a brass ferrule, it was used to file down an uneven or rough tooth. Stamped on the shaft is HUISH'S PATENT.
