Name/TitleManual drill
About this objectThis manual drill consists of a blue hopper on a handle and red wheel. The drill is propelled forward, a wooden pin cutting a groove for the seed which flows from the hooper throughout the blue coulter. A spring operated by a ratchet on 9 pegs round the axle opens and closes the coulter thus regulating the flow of the seed. It was used by the donor's father-in-law c.1938 and is numbered A.B. 310
