About this objectMade of galvanised iron, with the maker's label on the reservoir,'G.F. Halney, Lamp Maker, 19, Shacle Hill, Manchester'. The burner was made by 'Miller Co. USA'.
The lid was placed over the stand on 4 feet with strings of hessian at 2" intervals to form a curtain. the lamp being placed in the centre of the brooder.
The glass globe is not the correct one for this type of lamp - it should have a narrow neck to fit the hole in the base of the lid.
