About this objectAn iron sheaf-fork, secured to an ash handle by a tang and ferrule (rivetted through the tang). The tines on this fork are very thick. This tool was used by the donor's father, Charles Cragg, around the turn of the 20th century (c.1900-1910) for harvesting corn and other crops. It was later used at the donor's farm in Chilton. It is almost certainly blacksmith made and was made sometime during the 19th century.
