About this objectUsed by the donor's father, probably 60-70 years prior to donation, for cutting trusses of hay for feeding at Hollies Farm, Chilton.
This is an early type with a transverse handle attached to the shank of the blade by rivets at the centre. The handle shows signs of Indian red paint.
