About this objectWhen folded the hammer head fits inside the hook.
Said to have been used by the donor's uncle from Halstead, who was thatcher, straw-binder and hurdle maker and who used a pony and trap to get to his work. He was chiefly employed by Wrinch and Son of Erwarton but also travelled to farms round about.
