About this objectOne of two leather boots. This was worn over the shoe to prevent damaging the turf when cutting or rolling.
The overshoe (boot) is kept in position by a lip of iron curved backwards over the toe and a catch plate adjustable by a screw bolt. The double leather sole is attached to the iron plate by rivets.
