About this objectThis instrument was used by W.T. Hibberd, Abbey Farm, Rumburgh, father-in-law of the donor. During the 1939-45 war he was an Air Raid Warden, with special responsibility for livestock and had a number of Veterinary instruments. This was for the administration of 'balls' or 'pills' to horses. Near the end of the barrel are two finger grips in the form of rings, and another at the end of the plunger.
