Name/TitleCavings Fork
About this objectThis was used to remove the cavings (short straw) from under the drum. It was probably blacksmith-made, c. 1930, the iron D-handle suggesting a late date. It has three tines, the upper section of the outer tines recurved to catch the cavings. The handle has signs of red paint.
